Research Enhancement Strategy Office

About RESO

The Research Enhancement Strategy Office was established in NIFS in 2013, as a result of the selection of the National Institutes of Natural Sciences(NINS)for the “Research University Enhancement Promotion Project” by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. This project selects domestic universities and inter-university research institutes that conduct superlative research, and supports their research enhancement policies. Special features of this program are the hiring and placement of Research Administrators(URA: University Research Administration staff) and their resulting performance of related activities. Although the Project ended in March 2023, the activities of the Office continue to develop.

CEO The Office has three URAs, and promotes activities in five task groups: IR (Institutional Research)/ evaluation, enhancement of public relations programs, strengthening of the financial base, enhancement of collaboration activities, and strengthening of the human resource development programs. Each task group, headed by the group leader, promotes activities in coordination with other groups and committees in NIFS. These activities are coordinated with the Headquarters for Co-Creation Strategy, established in NINS.
